Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What quality are the mixes?

A. All mixes are in MP3 format. The majority of the Essential Mixes have been recorded at 192KBps. Some are slightly lower than this and some are higher.

Q. What delivery service do you use?

A. The DVD archive is sent in the UK using Royal Mail's First Class Recorded service. You will be provided with an online tracking reference when the DVD's have been sent, so you can track them online. Individual mixes and years are sent by Standard First Class.

Q. How do I choose the mix or year I want to buy?

A. When you are on the PayPal payments screen you should see an option to specify the name of the mix or year that you wish to buy. Please enter the information in here. If you have any problems please email the name of the mix or year you want to info@essentialmixarchive.com or if we haven't heard from you after we have received a payment then we will email you to ask what you want.

Q. What happens if there is a fault with one of the discs?

A. We only use high quality blank DVD's and CD's and burn them at slow speeds, so faulty discs are VERY rare. Should you have any problems then just email us and we can send you a new disc at no additional cost.

Q. How can I play the mixes on the DVD collection?

A. The DVD's will play on your computer as well as through any standalone DVD player that supports MP3 playback. You can also copy the mixes from the DVD's onto an MP3 player or convert them to CD Audio and burn them to CD's to play in any CD player.

Q. Do the mixes come with tracklistings?

A. No. Because there are now well over 700 mixes it isn't practical to print and send that many tracklistings. You can look them up on this site though in our tracklisting archive.

Q. Are the mixes divided up so I can find them easily?

A. Each DVD is marked with the year e.g Disc 1 is Essential Mixes 1993-1994, Disc 2 is Essential Mixes 1994, and so on. Each mix is on the DVD as a separate file e.g. Carl Cox 9-10-1994

Q. Do you deliver world wide?

A. Yes, we can send mixes to any country. If you want to purchase the DVD collection and are based in Europe, North America or Australia, then you can make a payment using the paypal buttons on our order page. If you live in any other country it will likely be possible to deliver to you for our Worldwide price, but please contact us first so that we can check it is possible.
